We believe that the Word of God is the final authority for all of our beliefs and teachings. Although some traditions may be helpful in the organization and functionality of the church, tradition is never a solid basis for any belief or action.

Our Doctrines

We believe

that the Scriptures, comprised of the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments, are verbally inspired by God and the final and totally sufficient rule of faith and life. We use the King James Version exclusively for all teaching and preaching ministries. (II Timothy 3:16&17)

We believe

that the Genesis account of creation is a literal history of God’s creation of man and this earth. (Genesis 1&2, Matthew 19:4&5)

We believe

in the triune Godhead: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. They are co-equal, co-existent, and co-eternal. They all have the attributes of holiness, omnipotence, omnipresence, and omniscience. (Matthew 28:19, John 14:16, I John 5:7)

We believe

that Jesus Christ is God and became flesh, born of a virgin, and that He is sinless. (Philippians 2:7-8, John 1:1-2, Isaiah 7:14, Luke 1:31, II Corinthians 5:21, Hebrews 4:15)

We believe

in the substitutionary, atoning death of Jesus Christ, which is the final and full sacrifice for all sins. (Hebrews 10:12, I Corinthians 15:1-4)

We believe

in the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, His ascension into heaven, His mediatorial intercession, and His personal coming again. (John 20:27, Acts 1:9-11, I John 2:1)

We believe

in the second coming of Jesus Christ, which will begin with the rapture of the church, followed by a 7 year period of tribulation after which Jesus will return to the earth to establish a 1,000 year reign of righteousness. (I Thessalonians 4:13-17, Revelations 4-20)

We believe

that all men are created in the fallen image of Adam and are therefore totally depraved and sinful, deserving of eternal damnation, and unable to save themselves. (Psalm 51:5, I Corinthians 15:22, Romans 3:23, Romans 5:12)

We believe

that man is saved by the grace of God through personal faith in the shed blood of Jesus Christ and eternally kept by the power of God. (Ephesians 2:8, I Peter 1:18-19, John 10:27-30, I Peter 1:5)

We believe

that the Lord Jesus Christ gave the church the ordinances of the Lord’s Supper and believers' Baptism by immersion. (I Corinthians 11:23-34, Acts 8:37-38)

We believe

that believers are exhorted to grow in grace and walk in separation from the world according to the Word of God. (II Peter 3:18, I John 2:15-17, Romans 12:1-2)

We believe

in the resurrection of the physical body of man, both of the just and unjust, each in his own order - the saved at the second coming of Christ, and the unsaved at the end of the millennial reign at the Great White Throne Judgment. All of the saved will live forever in heaven and all of the lost will spend eternity in a lake of fire. (I Corinthians 15:5-53, I Thessalonians 4:13-17, Revelations 20:4-21)

We believe

in the existence of Satan. He is a fallen angel whose work is to blind men’s minds lest they be saved, and of tempting, afflicting and accusing God’s people. (Job 1:6-2:6, II Corinthians 4:4, Revelations 12:10, I Peter 5:7, Isaiah 14:12-15, Ezekiel 28:11-15)

We believe

that all saved persons of this present dispensation compose the church as the body of Christ. This is called the universal and invisible church.

We believe

that the local church was created by God for believers. It is God’s ordained method for the local assembly of believers to obey God’s directives:

  • To worship God
  • To receive teaching, exhortation, and fellowship
  • To use their spiritual gifts to serve the Lord

The local church is the steward of the Great Commission, the ordinances, and the proclamation of the Word of God.
