Dear Mt. Zion Baptist Church Family,
We have been working hard to keep tabs on the ever changing information coming out in regards to Covid 19. At this point we have some changes to be announced:
First, our church doors are open and we invite all who feel safe to come this Sunday at 10:30 AM and take part in worship together. There will be no Sunday School, Junior Church, or Nursery as of this time. Our service schedule will still be Sunday at 10:30 AM and Wednesday at 7:00 PM for now. We ask that families sit together and be mindful of others. We will be sanitizing between services and hand sanitizer is on the wall by every exit from the auditorium for your convenience. If you feel safer wearing a mask, please feel free to do so; but it will not be required. If you are sick, please stay home.
If you don’t feel comfortable coming into the building quite yet and want to still come out for the service, we have multiple options for you:
1. The service will still be pumped out through the bell tower speakers over the lake and parking lot for those who want to sit outdoors.
2. We just installed an FM transmitter which allows us to connect directly to your radio for a better quality sound that you can manually control. Our channel is 87.9 FM. Our FM channel has been tested and is crystal clear. It reaches the entire parking lot and goes out over the lake to about the 528 bridge. If you want to stay in your car or even your boat for the morning and listen on the radio, you will be well covered.
3. We will also still be live streaming each service from our church FB page as well so you can still tune in from your house.
Our leadership is meeting weekly to discuss these and any further changes that will need to be taken in the future. We care about each of you and your safety; as well as your right to assemble with fellow believers. We are doing our best to provide that environment for both.
God Bless,
Pastor Ben
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Our church is also doing a food pantry to help those in need. If you are interested, please drop all non-perishable items under the awning outside the Library door.
Wednesday, May 27th – Deacon/Trustee meeting at 5:30 P.M. in the Fellowship Hall.
We would like to thank Doug and Barb for donating mulch for the church and also for the people who came out for Work Day. The church grounds look beautiful.
Also, a huge thank you goes to the folks who took time to strip and wax the floor in the Fellowship Hall this week. We appreciate the hard work you have done
